At CMC - NorthEast, we are dedicated to providing you with the best tools for your own healthcare. Often times, this comes in the form of education, because knowledge is power. Below are several resources intended for patient education opportunities at CMC - NorthEast:
Residency Program

CMC - NorthEast is proud to be a teaching hospital, sponsoring a family residency program in partnership with the physician faculty of Cabarrus Family Medicine. CMC - NorthEast provides financial support while Cabarrus Family Medicine faculty staff this program. Residents rotate throughout all areas of the medical center with specialists and sub-specialists at CMC - NorthEast in addition to their work in the family practice centers. Our residency program offers extensive and diverse educational and real practice experience for resident physicians. The program is affiliated with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine's Department of Family Medicine, recently ranked second nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The program also offers a sports medicine fellowship through the Sports Medicine and Injury Center.
Health Sciences Education
Cabarrus College of Health Sciences, located on our main Concord campus, is another partner in educating future health care professionals. Eight different degree or certificate programs are offered to students, including an Associate degree in Nursing as well as a BSN completion program. Begun as a nursing school in 1942 during the WWII era, the college now boasts of 62 faculty and nearly 350 students annually. Accreditation for Cabarrus College of Health Sciences is awarded by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
