The Batte Cancer Center welcomes you to our new state-of-the-art facility, a place filled with caring, a place filled with rejuvenation, and a place filled with hope.
Batte Cancer Center recently expanded into a new 125,000 square foot building called The Pavilion that opened in May 2007. The new Batte Cancer Center now comprises over 45,000 square feet dedicated to the treatment of cancer and blood diseases.
Additional space for new technologies include the approximately 2,000 square foot concrete vault for the CyberKnife®, a non-invasive radiosurgery device that delivers highly focused radiation to destroy cancerous cells.
Batte Cancer Center includes two linear accelerators and a complete Breast Health program located in our Breast Center. Now in our new facility, the oncology pharmacy is specially equipped to prepare the most up-to-date treatments in a highly sterile environment by specialized oncology pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The recent facility expansion has provided room for a Rejuvenation Center, housing our extensive wig, hat, and scarf collection that is complete with a styling salon and a full time cosmetologist. Our integrative therapies such as massage therapy now have dedicated space that can enhance and encourage healing through touch. To round out our integrative therapies, many of our oncology nurses are trained in holistic nursing, learning the art and science of massage, healing touch, and guided visualization.
Batte Cancer Center is the only Comprehensive Community Cancer Center receiving special commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons in the North Charlotte region. We've earned that designation because of our commitment to building an exceptional facility and a multi-faceted team dedicated to battling this disease.
